Branding

Set your DZBuild storefront's logo, favicon, brand colors and typography from the customize page — and know exactly what Reset deletes.

Written by Support

Your branding is the part of the storefront that says "this is me, not a generic shop." DZBuild lets you set every visual element from one page: sidebar Personnaliser la boutique / تخصيص المتجرPersonnaliser / تخصيص (/dashboard/customize).

Logo

Upload from Customize → Header & Logo (En-tête et Logo / الرأسية والشعار).

Spec

What the platform accepts

Format

PNG (transparent background recommended), JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF or TIFF

Not supported

SVG — the upload fails with "invalid image file" even though the file picker and the on-screen hint appear to offer it

Dimensions

Any aspect ratio; minimum 50 × 50 px, maximum 4000 × 4000 px (a ~3:1 wide logo still looks best in the header)

Max file size

20 MB

The logo shows up in:

  • The storefront header on every page — home, product, cart, category, all-products, checkout and order tracking

  • The storefront footer and the mobile drawer

  • Landing pages

  • Your dashboard sidebar and user avatar

  • The browser-tab icon, when no favicon is uploaded (see below)

  • The Open Graph / WhatsApp share image

There is no order-receipt PDF on DZBuild, courier labels are PDFs generated by the courier's own API, the label you print from the orders page carries only your store name, and transactional emails carry the DZBuild logo — so the logo does not appear on any of those.

If you upload a transparent PNG, the logo blends with both light and dark headers. Avoid baking your background colour into the logo file.

Favicon

The little icon in the browser tab. Customize → Header & Logo → Favicon.

Upload a square PNG or ICO whose size is exactly one of 16, 32, 48, 64, 96, 128, 192 or 512 px. Any other size (100 × 100, 256 × 256, 180 × 180 …) is rejected with an error — nothing is resized for you. Max file size 1 MB. Only PNG and ICO are accepted (no JPG, WebP or SVG).

ℹ️ Info — Pro feature

Custom favicon is available on Pro, Unlimited and Enterprise. Only Free stores fall back to the default icon. Upgrade from /dashboard/subscribe — the ▶ How to renew button on that page launches a guided in-app tour, and video walkthroughs are on the DZBuild YouTube channel.

The tab icon falls back in three steps: your uploaded favicon → your store logo → the default DZBuild icon. So even on the Free plan, uploading a logo already gives you a branded browser-tab icon.

Social-card image (Open Graph)

DZBuild has no separate social-card uploader. On the homepage and most storefront pages, the Open Graph / WhatsApp share image is your store logo (the hero image is used as the fallback on theme home pages when no logo is set). On a product page the share image is that product's own photo.

Share previews are always declared at 1200 × 630, so pick a logo that still reads well when a preview crops it to that box.

Announcement bar

A thin promo strip above the header — useful for a free-shipping message or a campaign deadline. Customize → Announcement bar, where you set the text, an optional link, and the background + text colours.

ℹ️ Info — Pro feature

The announcement bar and all of its colour fields require Pro or above.

Storefront banners

The promotional banner block on the homepage. How many slots you get depends on the theme:

  • Starter, Brico and Promobi — none.

  • Showcase (Started V2), Prestige and Bloom — one.

  • Digital — two promo banners plus a 3-slide hero slider.

Minimum banner size is 300 × 150 px (a wide 1920 × 600 JPG still works best). Bigger uploads are automatically down-scaled to 2000 px and converted to WebP, so file size is not a hard constraint.

A banner button links via a dropdown to the products section, the all-products page, the cart, a category or a product; a custom URL field lets you point at anything else, including a landing page. One exception: the Digital theme's banner and hero-slide link selectors offer only the products section, a category or a product — no custom URL — so a Digital banner cannot link to a landing page.

Colors

Under Colours & font you get four pickers:

  • Primary — dominant accent (buttons, links, hover states).

  • Secondary — supporting accent (badges, highlights).

  • Background (Pro+) — main page background.

  • Section titles (Pro+) — the heading colour above each homepage block.

There is no body-text colour picker. Further colour controls live in other sections: navbar background + navbar text (Header & Logo, Pro+), footer background (Footer, Pro+), announcement-bar background + text (Announcement bar, Pro+), and the Buy-Now / Fast-Checkout button colours (Product page, Pro+). On the Free plan only Primary and Secondary are editable — everything else is locked.

The live preview shows your storefront only — the dashboard's own appearance never changes, and the preview always renders the *.dzbuild.app subdomain even if you have a custom domain. Neither Prestige nor Showcase exposes extra accent colours or a hero-overlay-opacity slider; their theme-specific sections are hero copy, categories, featured products, a promo banner, branding/social links, testimonials (Prestige) and three trust badges (Showcase).

Typography

Three fonts are available:

Font

Notes

Cairo

Default. Arabic + Latin

Tajawal

Arabic + Latin

Almarai

Arabic + Latin

Inter and Roboto are not offered. There is a single font setting that applies to body text and headings alike — no theme exposes a separate heading font. Enterprise stores can load any Google Font via Custom CSS @import; see the Custom CSS guide.

Store name and meta description

The store name appears in the browser tab, the share preview, search-engine results, and the storefront header. Keep it short — 2–4 words is best.

The header shows the store name by default even when a logo is set. Turn it off with the Show store name switch, which only appears in Header & Logo once a logo is uploaded. One exception: on phones (screens up to 768 px), when a logo is present and the store name is longer than 12 characters, the theme deliberately hides the text and shows the logo alone.

The meta description (Customize → SEO) is what shows up in Google search snippets. There is no enforced character limit — 150–160 characters is a Google-display recommendation, not a validation rule. Include your category and the value proposition.

Removing the "Powered by DZBuild" credit

Unlimited and Enterprise stores can hide the DZBuild credit in the storefront footer: Customize → Footer → Hide branding. On lower plans the switch is locked.

Your theme must match your plan

Each theme carries a plan requirement — Starter, Digital and Brico are Free; Showcase (Started V2) is Pro; Prestige and Bloom are Unlimited; Promobi is Enterprise.

⚠️ Warning — A lapsed plan changes your theme's default colours

Your theme keeps rendering even if the plan lapses — the layout is not reverted. What does change is the theme's default colour set: the colour layer falls back to Starter's defaults for any colour you never set yourself, and the theme card is locked in the picker until you upgrade.

Resetting the customization

Customize → ↺ Reset (/dashboard/customize/reset) is not an undo button.

🛑 Important — Reset permanently deletes your brand assets

It deletes your uploaded logo, favicon and desktop hero image from storage — they cannot be recovered and must be re-uploaded. It also clears Enterprise Custom CSS, the announcement text, the hero headline/sub-headline/button, the categories/featured/products section titles, and the footer About + copyright text, replacing them with fixed Arabic defaults.

It then restores a single fixed Starter-style palette (primary #f59e0b, secondary #fbbf24, white background, #1f2937 footer, font Cairo) regardless of which theme is active — it does not restore your theme's own colours.

Your products, orders and customers are untouched. Your social-link URLs (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, GitHub) also survive.

Brand consistency tips

  • Use the same logo file across the storefront, packaging and social profiles. Consistency builds trust.

  • Pick two colors max as primary accents — too many looks amateur.

  • Use real product photos, not stock — Algerian buyers can spot stock photography instantly and it kills conversion.

  • Because your logo doubles as the share image, test it by sharing your store URL in a private WhatsApp chat and check the preview crop.
